Steve has trained with the Royal Parks Constabulary in Taiho-Jutsu (Police Self Defence) and was a registered referee for 4 years. Steve founded and ran two very successful clubs for nearly 20 years until 2008 and was also a member of the British Judo Association County Management Committee for 6 years. Steve's notable coaching successes include a Junior club member winning The British Schools National Championship, several students achieving places in the Great Britain Cadet Squad and the Great Britain Junior Squad and fighting in International Championships for their country and coaching the National Adult under 71 kgs Groundwork Champion.
